Did you ate today?

Hold tight. Because some of the truth might disturb you!

We praise the food, donate food, make food, ate food.. without food you cannot live more than 3 weeks.

We all have huge respect for farmers. And in the 21st century, you can have millions of various foods that look catchy, tastes wonderful, and mostly make us healthy.

Looks delicious πŸ˜‹ , isn't it?

But, did you ever not eaten for a day? Or a week?
I'm talking about starving not fasting!

Not only in Africa, but Every country also has poor people who cannot even get a full meal for them or family!
Even in India, the death rate is not even in this "digital era" like hell.

So, looks like money solves the problem here... Then, what about deforestation and agricultural land occupying?...
Hell yeah! There are vertical planting and modern harvesting.. problem solved! (Not really, just imagine. Because that's not gonna happen if you want to feed 7Billion people)

Let's get into a story that happened in history!
Before going into that, I gonna ask you a really simple question.

Can u starve to die even you are surrounded with foods If you want to feed millions of people? Do you?

Let's rewind to 1935 in Russia.

Stalin takes over Russia by dictatorship and world war 2 happening. Hitler planning to attack with heavy troops while Russia already suffering from severe starvation and cold that freezes you in minutes.

At that time, A Man who is pioneered in Mendel's botany work and continued his path in science. Dr.Nikolai Vavilov's research on plants and his belief in science had him hope one day he can end poverty by his research in plants. He also created a subject known as GENETICS.

He believed plants have genetic materials that help in cross-breeding and better production in agriculture. His work was appreciated in the world science community.

He collected seeds and lentils traveling all over the world to study them and with his fellow colleagues, he started the seed bank which is in Leningrad, Russia.

He collected over hundreds of thousand samples, some of them breed from the ancient time. He thought that Every plant has its origin which diverse among species and the potential to alter to adapt to the growth environment.

But he can not able to prove his work theoretically (at that time there was no advance instrument).

At that time, there is another scientist(not really) named Trofim Lysenko has an idea of drowning plant seeds in ice makes them resistant to cold and could have better harvest even in the winter season. He is also close to Stalin.

Whereas Nikolai has no powerful background or big coins.
He rushed to debate with Lysenko about his pseudoscience in stupid science. So, Lysenko planned to get rid of him. He used his influence and power to arrest and torture Nikolai. Then after He was starved to death.

On the other side, Nikolai colleagues know that they are in danger and they are next to be arrested. At once in 1941, Hitler attacked the Leningrad hardly.

Russian army cannot able to hold Hitler's army. And the mass destruction leads to heavy damage to people and thousands of people left there to die.

But in the seed bank, the scientists decided to protect the grains and seeds from outside attack. They are not soldiers but they did what they can.

After more than months of siege, Leningrad people died of starvation and some of them tried to get into seed bank. But, no one entered.

They ate half a bread a day and continued their research. At some point, there is no food to eat.

One after the other died of starvation.
Alexander stchukin (specialist in groundnuts), Dimitri ivanov(specialist in rice), and nine other scientists died by the end of 1941.

Even though they had foods that enough for almost 2 years, there is not a single seed that is unaccounted.
They are starved to death surrounding by food.

Just imagine how hard it can be...

Their sacrifice made that bank alive. After several years, the modern scientist took that and cross-breed them.

Many of the crops that we eat today is cross-breed from the samples those scientists preserved from destruction.

They won by ending their life and helped millions of people.

That seed bank now, named after Nikolai and his colleagues.

The greatest sacrifice in the history of science.

Now, what can we do?
Don't waste food. People who suffered know that's value.

So pledge not to waste food and help people with what we have.

I found this story really both exciting and disturb.
I stunned to know it really happened. So, I shared it with you!

[I'm not posted any for several months, because of the problems and pressure that happening in society and world]
Hope you all good, and take care of this hard time.

Peace ☮️✌🏻

Beauty

Everything in this world has it's own beautiness. The word Beauty we use as Adjective as well as Noun. Our brain pickup and judge beautiful things among all the other thing. So the other suitable word of beauty becomes "Catchy". The beautiful things, faces, flowers, animals are similar in some ways. Because every human has their taste and choices to pick or select as their favorite. But beautiful things catch all people. So we can also use Universal-taste as a suitable word. Right? From the beginning of human existence, we need beautiful things in our surrounding environment to enhance our feelings and it gives somehow calm and sometimes excites our emotions. So as before, we suite excitement and enhancement to word Beauty. Ok!? now we end our word game and know what's happening exactly... The scientific reason behind the term "Beauty or Beauti-ness" can be determined by Mathematics and structure. That measurement called the "Golden Ratio". If we ...

Pursuer

One day a girl traveled from Hungary to the USA with only a purse full of money and landed on foreign soil without any huge expectations. But she had what most other people don't have "Curiosity". She kept her curiosity to make the world better and she did it! Yes, it's the story of Katalin kariko a Hungarian biochemist who has stubborn in her research field and science. She had a great track record from the research department, but many thought she chooses not a potential field of research that is mRNA research. she fascinated to work on the mRNA research but people who were funded her thought that she has many talents but she chooses mRNA studies and it's not important and demoted her. Her funds were stopped for research. Despite this bad situation she kept thinking about her studies and strongly believed one day it may have huge potential. so she started with what she had at that time without any second thought.  One day she met Drew Weissman while photocopying...
